All students should read thirty minutes each night as a part of his/her homework.    This will help students build reading stamina and increase comprehension of text for the remainder of this school year.

LANGUAGE ARTS ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE WILL BE OFFERED ON TUESDAY OF EACH WEEK DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.   STUDENTS CAN ATTEND LANGUAGE ARTS ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE EACH TUESDAY AFTERNOON (3:15 – 4:15)  THAT SCHOOL IS IN SESSION.   PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO SEND A NOTE OR EMAIL EACH TUESDAY THAT YOU GIVE YOUR CHILD PERMISSION TO STAY AFTER SCHOOL.  STUDENTS CANNOT STAY FOR ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE IF I DO NOT HAVE A NOTE OR EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE.    PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR  TRANSPORTATION HOME IF YOUR CHILD STAYS FOR TUTORING.    IF PARENTS ARE NOT AT SCHOOL FOR PICK-UP BY 4:15, STUDENTS WILL BE TAKEN TO THE MEDIA CENTER.  PARENTS CAN COME INTO THE MEDIA CENTER TO PICK UP STUDENTS AFTER 4:15.

You will find in the back of your child’s agenda username(s) and passwords for powerschools (checking grades) and a barcode for checking out books in the media center.  It is important for your child to keep up with his/her agenda because of these very important stickers.

STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COPYING  HOMEWORK IN THEIR AGENDAS ON A NIGHTLY OR WEEKLY BASIS.  PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD’S AGENDA NIGHTLY TO MAKE SURE THAT HOMEWORK IS BEING WRITTEN DOWN AND COMPLETED AT HOME.
